Condolence From: Marilyn MacQuarrie
Condolence: I just recently heard of Bill's passing, and although we cannot live forever, it is still a shock to know he is not here with us.
My deceased husband Al,and myself enjoyed Bill, his intelligent wit,his stories, and all that he was, so very much. Al loved to work at the farm with him, whether picking blueberries, or for him, building or maintaining buildings. Al loved the farm and spending time with Bill, and his family. Bill officiated at our marriage as well, right there in the parlor of his home, many years ago.
My heartfelt condolences to all his family,he will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Condolence: The town of Berlin has lost an icon. Bill was such an integral part of everyday life in Berlin over the years...whether it was a few words at the Post Office, registering one to vote, or his presence at a concert for the grandkids, or guidance in where to find the best blueberries on a particular day.He will be missed but his presence will live on in the hearts and minds of many for years to come. Rest in peace, Bill!

Condolence: Bill's life is a wonderful example of how to live and his reflection shines bright in his family. While he may have left this world, his footprint remains in the fields and throughout the town of Berlin.

Condolence: Bill, a true gentleman, a loving husband, father and grandfather, a most interesting and knowledgeable mentor in just about everything from town politics to sports and especially memorizing and reciting Robert Service poetry in the blueberries! He taught me how to keep the bees happy and healthy, to be patient and slow down but to hurry up too and certainly while pruning the blueberries "not to cut all the leaves off". He made me feel important and I am proud to call him friend. I(we)will miss him immensely and will never forget him. Thanks Bill. Love You!

Condolence: When I first came to Massachusetts, Bill Wheeler, he was such a vital part of me falling in love with Berlin.. he was so kind and welcoming. At Indian Head, he lead by example always showing respect, love, kindness and work ethic out of this world. Just being around Bill was energizing- at over 90, he could split wood faster than myself and most people i know. He was so knowledgable and generous with his knowledge and wisdom. He always made me feel special and important, even when I was being over the top and probably annoying. Missing Bill inspires me to read and recite poetry, to travel more and document it wonderfully. He inspires me to never stop learning and bettering myself. Bill Wheeler was one of those salt of the earth people, who I am so grateful to have known- and getting to call him a friend was a gift out of this world. L
